ABOUT THE CAMP
Your kid picks up a paintbrush on Monday. By Thursday, they've experienced what the hobby offers. They've got a living breathing army that's coming together and taking shape. They're learning to build and paint. They're also playing games and making friends. That's Warhammer 40,000 Boot Camp.
Every camper starts with a Combat Patrol, a great starter army box that's worth building a whole hobby around, and spends the week building it, painting it, and getting it on the table. Our very own Byron runs the week. He's the same guy who's been running D&D Campaigns and Saturday Pokémon Club at the store for years, so your kid is learning from someone who already knows how to make a first-timer feel like they belong.
The days overlap on purpose. Nobody's rushed to finish assembly before they're allowed to touch a paintbrush, and nobody's stuck painting alone while everyone else is already playing. By Thursday, the whole camp is playing games together, and that's the point. Play Games, Make Friends.
THE WEEK, DAY BY DAY
| MONDAY Pick Your Force, Start to Build |
Campers choose their Combat Patrol (we've got dozens to choose from!) with help from staff to match their playstyle and the look they're going for. Then the building starts. |
| TUESDAY Keep Building, Start to Paint |
Assembly continues while the first colors go on. Campers start learning brush technique as their army starts looking like an army. |
| WEDNESDAY Keep Painting, Multi Battle |
More paint goes down, and the whole camp gets their models on the table together for a big multiplayer battle. Byron walks everyone through how the rules actually work, phase by phase. |
| THURSDAY More Gaming Action |
Campers put their growing knowledge to work, playing against each other and cheering each other on. They walk out with an army they built themselves and the friends who were there for every step of it. |
