Introduction to Miniature Painting
Are you interested in painting miniatures but overwhelmed by the internet and don't know where to start? Or have you done some mini painting but want to reset with a new perspective? This in-person class will cover the basics of miniature painting, from theory to brushes & paints to techniques that will aid you whether you want to paint up a single D&D character, a full army of models for Warhammer 40k, or anything in between.
Taught by Toy Soldier regular Corey Lynch (@fistandstone on Instagram), attendees will learn through a combination of classroom, demonstration, and hands-on practice with immediate feedback. Each participant will be provided the necessary materials for the hands-on portion of the class that includes a brush, paint, palette, and 2 miniatures. You are welcome to bring a notebook to take notes and your own brushes and paints if you have them, though they are not required.
This course is intended for a late-teen to adult audience and for miniature painters of beginner to intermediate skill level.
This class will take place in the Toy Soldier Guildhall February 22nd 2026 1-4 PM.
